ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jackie Calvert began her artistic career as a muralist apprentice in San Diego, CA in 2002. For years following she worked as a professional decorative painter in high end homes, commercial businesses and casinos. She has taken part in landmark local projects at the Hotel Boulderado, Phipps Mansion, History Colorado and the Tivoli.

 

Her love of art and adventure has led her to study monastery murals in Tibet and Nepal and study abroad in New Zealand and Australia. 

 

Jackie has been a self-employed mural artist since 2012 with her company “The Color Lab“ and is currently doing business as, “Neon Swan”.  She also has local collaborations under the alias, “BunBun”.

 

She loves saturated color, large scale pattern, organic line work, abstract expressionism and mid century modern design. 

 

Jackie lives in North Denver with her family where she works from her home studio. When she’s not painting she’s doing hot yoga, hunting for vintage treasures and adventuring with her husband and two daughters.
